Never. We don’t do "spice dust". Most grocery store brands are finely milled and packed with fillers to extend shelf life, but Benissimo spice blends feature large, visible flakes of real herbs and seasonings. When you see actual chili flakes or rosemary needles in the jar, you know you’re getting authentic, vibrant flavor—not a chemical cocktail.

Our spices are inspired by decades of flavor study and European heritage. While standard brands offer flat, one-dimensional profiles, our blends are complex and designed to simplify your cooking without sacrificing depth. Because we use larger flake cuts, the essential oils are better preserved, meaning the flavor stays punchy and fresh much longer than processed powders.

We have a strict "no MSG" policy. We never hide sodium behind vague terms like "natural seasonings." If a blend includes salt, it’s there because it’s part of a perfectly balanced flavor profile, and it will be clearly listed on the label. Transparency is part of our heritage.

To keep those flavors lively, store your jars in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or the heat of your stove. Because our spice blends use whole flakes, they hold their potency beautifully. You are unlikely to have any left by the time they hit the “best by” date!  Just remember to use a dry spoon—moisture is the enemy of a great spice blend!
