Serves 10 – 12

Ingredients.

½  large lemon
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Lemony Dill Seasoning
2 bunches broccolini (approx 1 Lb), the thicker stalks halved lengthwise
Directions:

Instructions:

1. Using a vegetable peeler, remove the zest from the lemon in 1” wide strips.  Cut off any pith with a small sharp knife (the pith tastes bitter).  Set the peeled lemon aside.

2. In a large, heavy pan, heat the oil and the zest over moderate heat until the zest is golden, about 3 minutes.  Remove from the heat and discard the zest, reserving the oil. Add the Lemony Dill Seasoning.  Set aside.

3. In a large pot cook the broccolini in plenty of boiling, salted water, uncovered, until crisp-tender, about 5 – 7 minutes.  Drain well.

4. Reheat the lemon oil over moderately high heat until hot but not smoking.  Add the broccolini and cook, tossing until well coated with the oil and heated through, about 1 minute.  Check seasoning and add salt to taste, if desired. Squeeze the juice of the remaining lemon over the broccolini and serve.

Note: You may substitute broccoli for the broccolini.
